New friends in the Spubi community
We are pleased to count Heimathonig and BILLION BEES, two new initiatives, among "spubi's friends".
Today we introduce you to the two new friends of spubi.de: Heimathonig (german only) and BILLION BEES (german only).
Who are our new friends? - let's introduce them briefly:
The portal for regional honeys - Heimathonig
"We are the largest supplier of beekeeper honey on the Internet. With over 300 different varieties, we offer an extensive and special range of honey from very different German regions. Through our marketplace, we support the work of regional beekeepers by offering fair prices and secure payment. In addition, since 2020 we offer bee sponsorships for all who are interested in bees and honey."
The initiative for more bees - BILLION BEES
"We are doing something for more bees! Wild bees and honey bees are the most important pollinating insects in Germany. But they are threatened and at the same time particularly helpless. Because the insects depend on an intact environment - and on the work of beekeepers and conservationists. This is why Helfenstein Ventures GmbH launched BILLION BEES in 2020. BILLION BEES connects dedicated bee helpers with partners who enable projects on site.
How did it happen?
In July of this year, Grischa had first contact with the founders of BILLION BEES and Heimathonig. Connected by their passion for bees, they were on the same wavelength from the very first phone call. I still remember exactly: 'the first phone call left a super impression, we immediately had lots of ideas on how the concepts can complement each other'. Consequently, a personal meeting was scheduled. The first impression was confirmed and a "short meeting" turned into a great conversation into the evening hours. Conclusion: We are convinced that the concepts Heimathonig, BILLION BEES and spubi.de have overlaps in many places and that the individual strengths can be nicely combined. We quickly thought out and formulated the first ideas in more concrete terms. Freely according to the motto one step at a time - we start with step one, today's idea. In this way, we give, as Heike aptly put it: "[...] the cooperation the chance to grow." But you already know both portals from our blog post on the 2020 flood disaster. Here we were all quickly agreed that if the concepts can help, we want to use this potential in any case. Combined, we hope, we can help affected beekeepers rebuild their apiaries.
We are excited to see what other ideas we will implement together in the future. Be curious. We are happy about the two new friends - let's do good together!
